New program takes guesswork out of starting a business
Utah Forge today announced the launch of Startup Blueprint Canvas, a program that takes a potential business owner from idea to launch in one seamless process.
Business canvas programs, which guide entrepreneurs in building a business plan, have been around since the early 2000s but they don’t teach entrepreneur all the things they need to do and learn to start a successful business.
Now, Utah Forge introduces Startup Blueprint Canvas, the next generation of business canvas designed to take the entrepreneur from the idea and purpose stage all the way through the actual startup. The Startup Blueprint is designed for inexperienced entrepreneurs and startups. Each activity provides essential reference material to eliminate costly and time-consuming user training.
The interactive Blueprint model is learned “by doing” – participants just follow the intuitive structure. It then takes them through the decisions that business owners should make before they start their business and verify that they can find success with their idea and company.
The canvas, if followed completely, is designed to help the entrepreneur make the right decisions, talk to prospects before putting out money, plan and adjust his/her offerings to address the customer’s problem or need, begin the marketing plan to talk to the customers, figure out the what the competitors are doing and build a better solution.
“I teach and have been taught the Lean Startup and Business Model programs and this is by far the best education for those who want to start a business,” said Boyd Petersen, one of the founders and creators of Startup Blueprint Canvas.
Investors, bankers and entrepreneurs who have looked into Startup Blueprint Canvas or have used the beta version, are impressed with how much it teaches prospective business owners.
“I can’t believe all the things that I didn’t know that I didn’t know. This was a real eye-opener.” Donald Morgan, Carbwatchers
Startup Blueprint Canvas is a program developed by Utah entrepreneurs that have seen the dearth of education and training available to this most valuable asset – the new startup entrepreneur.
There are several ways you can use the Startup Blueprint Canvas. Utah Forge offers a free model with helps, an enhanced version that gives you more step-helps and resources and soon, a premier software version.
Utah Forge was established in April 2015 by four seasoned entrepreneurs who saw a need for something better for new startup business owners. They worked with venture capitalists, bankers and other entrepreneurs to make sure that the canvas was complete. They currently teach Startup Blueprint Canvas at Entrepreneur Launch Pad in Sandy and Orem as well as online courses for those wanting faster implementation. Canvas versions for company growth, enterprise (more than one location) and exit (selling or moving in to the next generation) are also in the works.
